Time Management (Or Lack Thereof)…..

September 16, 2012

I never thought that I would turn into one of “those people”. You know, the ones who are always late for appointments, or worse yet, just completely forget about them altogether. This week, after the third time that I completely missed a scheduled event, reality hit me square in the face. I am one of THOSE people now.

Sigh.

I am hoping that my prior track record of being a very timely and responsible person will give me some “cred” that this just a momentary lapse of sanity. So sincere apologies to those unnamed persons that I have let down this week.

And let me tell you, this isn’t for lack of technological assistance – I have five calendars all with reminder notifications (iPhone, iPad, iCal, my “mom” fridge calendar and my to-do lists) so you would think that I would never miss an appointment. In fact you would think I would almost go crazy from the number of times I hear beeps and buzzes in a day. Hmmmm……

So let me ask you this? Is it possible to be too scheduled? Is technology ultimately failing us? And what do you do to keep your life and family organized?

Christine Nielsen, one of the partners in mom inc MOVEMENT is normally very punctual and very organized, and she hopes that this phase ends very soon!
