Part Twenty-One: Quitting Time!

July 18, 2012 with 1 Comment

Hubby had his meeting today.   A Friday morning, kids lazing around the house, me prepping for our spontaneous “Yay we sold” BBQ, and impatiently waiting for his phone call.

It’s not about him leaving the job. That part is fine.  It is about him leaving the job well.  Leaving the job with a good relationship intact, leaving the job with potential support for the future.

I could wait no longer, so I called him.  And simply put, all is well.  The support (even for future work) is there. The happiness and excitement for our adventure is there.  The bridge is intact.

Friday was good.

Hubby home from work, dinner served, celebration moderate.  Kids grumpy (heat, lingering belly issues) and family movie on. This post was supposed to be all about him telling work… but something happened to our day to change it.

I got an email…. And the day changes.  The celebration changes.

I mean, come on…. HOW lucky can we be?

Take a look and see for yourself

I started reading your blog a few weeks ago and really relate to your situation. My husband and I are also at that stage to pack up and start the adventure. Looking forward to seeing where you will go! And congratulations on the amazing trip!
